Bybit Trading Fee StructureBybit trading fees are different for Non-VIP and VIP users. Users can enjoy higher trading fee discounts according to different VIP levels. The VIP level will be determined based on your asset balance or last 30-day trading volume. Traders are only required to meet one of the criteria to unlock the fee discount of the respective VIP Level. For example, Trader A has a $250K asset balance (VIP 1 criteria), and his last 30-day Spot trading volume has reached $6 million (VIP 3 criteria). Trader A will be promoted to VIP Level 3 and will be entitled to all discounted fee rates stated under VIP 3. The VIP level will be updated daily at 7AM UTC and the Subaccounts will have the fee rate of the Main Account. Please note that the trading fee rates applied on your orders will be the ones applicable on your account at the time of order placement. Trading Fee RateThe table below displays the base trading fee rates for various products and the criteria required for each VIP level. However, the actual fee rates may vary depending on your region. Please note that Forex/CFD trading volume will be subject to a 10x multiplier compared to crypto perpetual. For example, if your forex/CFD trading volume is 10M, it will be counted as 1M in derivatives trading volume for the VIP requirement calculation, due to the 10x multiplier. This means you would need to trade 100M in Forex/CFD to meet a 10M derivatives trading volume requirement for VIP status.— Funding fees received or paid will not count toward trading volume— Trading volume from both Main Account and Subaccount will be considered— To understand the criteria of each VIP & Pro level, please refer to Introduction to VIP Program. In addition, Bybit offers the Market Maker Incentive Program to get up to 0.01% in maker fee rebate. Please refer to Introduction to the Market Maker Incentive Program for the requirements and application method. Funding FeeThe Funding Fee is the periodic payments and income that are made between traders who hold positions in Perpetual contracts. In order to anchor the Perpetual contract trading price to the Spot price, the funding mechanism is used to ensure Bybit’s last traded price is always anchored to global standard Spot prices. Here’s a brief overview of how it works: if the Perpetual market price sits above the Spot price (i.e., the funding rate is positive), long position holders will pay the funding fees to short position holders. This incentivizes traders to open more short positions and brings down trading prices, shifting toward the Spot price. Let's say the Perpetual trading price is lower than the Spot price (i.e. the funding rate is negative). In this case, short position holders will pay the funding fees to long position holders, so that the latter is placed in the driver’s seat to open more positions. Thus, prices are driven up, achieving a similar objective to narrowing the spread. The funding fee will be charged every few hours, depends on the funding interval of each symbols, based on your position value. You can view the funding rate from the trading page. Read More:Funding Fee CalculationFunding RateWhat Are Bybit Funding Fees? 5. Liquidation FeeA Liquidation Fee will be charged in the event of liquidation in Spot Margin Trading, Crypto Loan and Options. In Spot Margin Trading and Crypto Loan, when the loan-to-value (LTV) ratio exceeds the liquidation level, auto repayment will be triggered, and your margin assets will be liquidated to repay the liabilities. A liquidation fee will be charged on top of your liquidated assets and this will be injected to the margin insurance pool. In the event where your account goes bankrupt, i.e., when you are liquidated and you have insufficient margin assets to repay the liabilities, the platform will use the margin insurance fund to cover the deficit. For more information, please visit here. For Options trading, liquidation will be triggered when the Account Maintenance Margin Rate reaches 100% and a liquidation fee will be charged. Please refer here for more information. Bybit does not charge a liquidation fee for Perpetual and Futures Trading.
